We are excited to announce the Online FrameBreak Hackathon, a unique event in which individual artists will form teams and create exciting, cutting-edge exhibition projects. This Hackathon is your chance to collaborate with other creatives, push your boundaries, and showcase your work in a dynamic exhibition using FRMD’s state-of-the-art digital frames.

  • Eligibility

    Open to individual artists working in any medium. Participants must be 18 years or older.

  • Team Formation

    Participants will choose their teams based on complementary skills and shared interests. Teams will be formed at the start of the Hackathon, allowing participants to collaborate with others who share similar goals and creative visions.

  • Project Scope

    Each team will be tasked with creating a cohesive exhibition plan that integrates digital and physical artworks, emphasizing innovation and audience engagement.

Notification of Acceptance

Applicants will be notified of their selection status by September 29, 2024. If selected, you will receive further instructions on how to prepare for the Hackathon.

Expectations

Participants must fully engage in all hackathon activities, including workshops, lectures, and team collaboration sessions. Adherence to deadlines and active involvement in team discussions are crucial for a successful experience.

Exhibition Support

  • Funding: The winners of the Hackathon will receive exhibition support. This funding is intended to cover costs associated with producing and executing their exhibition, including materials, transportation, installation, and other necessary expenses.
  • Utilization: The funds must be used to enhance the quality and presentation of the exhibition at Mriya NYC, ensuring that digital and physical artworks are displayed effectively.
